How it works
Three steps, then a real conversation.
We keep the mechanics quiet so the intent stays loud. No endless feed, no gamified streaks — just verified people who want the same thing you do.
- 01
Verify yourself
Submit your ID or passport and a selfie. Our team reviews it by hand, usually within a day.
- 02
Say what you want
Set out your intentions, deen, island or city, family expectations and timeline. Matching follows what you write, not what you scroll past.
- 03
Speak with purpose
When interest is mutual, a private conversation opens. Invite your wali at any point, or keep it between the two of you.
Privacy & safety

Guardian involvement
Bring your wali in — if and when you choose.
Some families want to be involved from the first match. Others prefer to step in later. Kaiveni Hiya leaves that entirely to you: adding a wali is optional, reversible, and the other person is told when a wali reviews your matches.
You choose a guardian and send them a link by phone or email. It can be at signup, weeks later, or never. Nothing is invited on your behalf.
A pending invite in your Wali settings, which you can withdraw at any time.
Only your name and that you have asked them to review your matches.
Your wali confirms their identity the same way you did, with an ID and a selfie. Until they pass, they see nothing.
Confirmation that they are verified and linked to your account.
A short, verified profile summary of each new mutual match, one at a time.
A guardian reviews your matches. They cannot message anyone, browse profiles, or read your conversations.
A marker on each connection showing it has been reviewed, and a one-tap option to remove the wali.
The other person’s verified first name, age, island and profile summary, and a button to approve or decline.
Questions
Answered plainly.
If something isn't here, write to us and a person will reply.
Is Kaiveni Hiya only for marriage?
Yes. Every profile is screened for marriage intent, and accounts using the app for anything else are removed. There is no casual mode.
Do I have to add a wali?
No. Adding a wali is entirely optional and you decide when — at signup, mid-conversation, or never. If a guardian is present, the other person is told before they reply.
How are profiles verified?
Every member submits a government ID or passport plus a selfie that our team compares against it. A human moderation team reviews each account before it becomes visible.
Are my photos public?
No. Nothing on Kaiveni Hiya is visible on the open web, profiles are only shown to verified members inside the app, and photos stay blurred in discovery. Clear photos open to Silver and Gold members after mutual interest.
Why limit how many conversations I can have?
Because a spouse is not found by volume. Free members hold one conversation a month, Silver five at a time and Gold ten at a time. Close a conversation and the slot frees up straight away.
When does the app launch?
We are in App Store and Google Play review now. Join the early access list and we will email you on launch day so you can download and create your account directly in the app.
Can I use it from outside the Maldives?
Yes. Many members live abroad for work or study, and you can filter for people in the same situation.
How do I pay for Silver or Gold?
Sign in on the Membership page of this website, choose a tier, transfer the amount to our bank account and upload the receipt. Our team activates your membership after checking the payment, usually within a day. Nothing is bought inside the app.
